The pension fund posted a loss of 2.2 billion euros last year. The expenditure was at 282.7 billion, the income at 280.5 billion euros, such as the German pension insurance association announced. A cause for concern? The pension insurances: the situation is not that bad.

The pension fund posted a loss of 2.2 billion euros last year. The expenditures were at 282.7 billion, the income at 280.5 billion euros, as the German Federal Pension Insurance Association announced on Monday in Berlin. The “Ruhr Nachrichten” had previously reported on it, citing the cabinet proposal for the 2018 federal budget.
